Jim, a pilot, returns from a family vacation with his own plane when the FBI raids the airport and discovers millions of dollars worth of cocaine on board. Unaware of the illegal cargo he was carrying, Jim agrees to collaborate with the FBI in order to catch the real culprits and support his family. While under FBI surveillance, Jim and his family continue with their lives, and they happen to move next door to John DeLorean, the designer of the popular 70s car, the Pontiac GTO. John, in need of investment to fulfill his passion project, manages to establish a factory to produce the DeLorean car but ends up drowning in debt. With the aim of exposing the drug cartel, Jim, who is working with the FBI, comes up with a brilliant idea: involving John in this dirty business to uncover an even bigger scandal!
