The Internet’s Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz, RSS development and the life of Aaron Swartz, one of the founders of the famous American social sharing site Reddit, is a film that focuses on the youth of this young genius.
Swartz, who was awarded the ArsDigita Prize at the age of 13, got involved in RSS work at the age of 14. He made nearly 4 million articles from JSTOR publicly available along with the files from American courts, and as a result, he was charged with "information piracy" and "illegal file downloading". Swartz, who advocated for freedom of information and unrestricted access on the internet, became trapped in a suffocating judicial process and fell into a deep depression.
